    3. Marty, I have added this info. to my files, and would like to source it to you. Can I have your name and postal address, which can be used to get in touch with you if your email address should change. I have lots of families from the Warren Co., GA. area: My Richmond Co/greater Warren Co Ga area names: Aldred, Byrd, Cason, Hughes, Inglett, Johnson, McDonald, Milligan, Newsome, Pool, Rabun, Rivers, Smith, Wren and possibly McNair/McNeil. The Gibson family marries into some of these lines. Thanks for the info. I am not researching the Gorman lines, but any little bit of extra info. is good just in case I later find a connections. The following are notes on John Gorman Sr. He married 1st ) Hannah Spriggans and 2) Nancy 'Annah' Nicholson. That is how I got involved with him. _____________________ Edgefield Co, SC Deed Book 2, p. 244-248, 22 Feb 1788 JOHN GORMAN and HANNAH, his wife, to Thomas Berry, Sr. , all of Edgefield Co. Note: birth dates of daughters of John Gorman and Nancy are given as: Hannah, b. 12 Mar 1797, and Rhoda, b. 23 Jan 1799. Dian Layman - "Nicholson book did not list Nancy as one of the children, but I had her from somewhere, and failed to note where I got the info. I agree from the records I am working on now, that she was second wife and first wife was probably Spragins, and possibly all the children except daughter Hannah were children of Spragins. The Spragins, Bolgers and Gormans were intertwined in some manner that I haven't figured out yet." I have the following as childen, but figure since he died in 1803, that many of these should be attached to his first wife. I need to read the actual will, as abstract is not clear as to which of the named children are 'heirs of (Nancy Nicholson's) body'. Descendants of John Gorman 1 John GORMAN d: Bef. I know that the 1790 census gives the following; John Gorman 2m 16+ , 2m <16, 2 females , 5 slaves - so he had 3 sons and 1 daughter by 1790, while married to Hannah Spraggins. He married NANCY FLUELLEN GIBSON born abt. 1779 in Warren County, GA. They were married December 20, 1794 in Warren County, GA. and I have one child listed, there probably were more children. The one listed is SARAH GORMAN born abt. 1805 in Gwinnett County, GA. > Hope this helps someone!
