    3. Hi Folks, We are approaching our one month anniversary as a genealogy list so let's celebrate by reposting who we are researching. As always please capitalize your surnames and give as much info as possible (dates, places, etc.). Please remember that many researchers will only read the body of your message if they see info in the subject line that they are interesting in so make the most out of the subject line by putting your surnames and key info in the subject line. 1. [Old96] William Shanks
    2. P. & A. Adell
    3. I am researching the Shanks family. Specifically, Matthew M. Shanks, his son John Shanks, his son David Shanks, and his son William. I am descended from William G. Shanks (married Diademia Daniel in Butler Co., AL, 18 Dec 1856 ), born in SC. I believe this to be William, the son of David Shanks, but I would like to prove the link (Christening records, perhaps, that give a middle name for him?) Any help would be appreciated. Ann Adell
