Researching John HOUSTON m Alice ARMSTRONG living in the Long Cane/Abbeville area of Old 96 in the mid to late 1700's. Their son Robert Armstrong HOUSTON was born 1765 there. He later moved to Knox County, TN. Alice ARMSTRONG's parents were Robert ARMSTRONG who married Alice CALHOUN . Alice Calhoun may have been the sister of the CALHOUN brothers who settled Long Cane around 1756. Any connections out there??? Betty
