Their son Samuel (b. abt. 29 Nov. 1741 in Augusta Co., VA, d. 1781) m. Mary Calhoun, whose sister Rebecca Floride m. Gen. Andrew Pickens. Another connection: your Joseph and Eleanor Pickens had a son Andrew (abt. 1767-1801) who also went (as did your ancestor John Pickens) to Alabama.
