Thank you Tim. I have Sharne Doliante's book and did find Eleanor Pickens information about her marriage to John Prather (no source cited). The book also makes mention of Robert Pickens, mostly in land transactions with John Prather. But those two are the only Pickens' mentioned in her book. Other information about Pickens ancestry appeared in the OPD-database CD that I bought in January of 2000. However I could not find "sources cited" for any of that information. Bill Lindsey has offered information about the Pickens line. I am hoping he can cite sources for me. It is so nice to see a group help other researchers.
