In the 1870 Federal Census for Reidville, Spartanburg Co. I find my Bennetts and Andersons living in the Glenn Springs Post Office area. Where is Glenn Springs? Marion Smith Whiting

Glenn Springs is roughly southeast of Spartanburg. Take Hwy 56 towards Pauline, take the left fork at Philadelphia Church, onto Hwy 215. Two miles down 215, take a left at the caution light onto Hwy 150. That puts you smack in the middle of Glenn Springs. Used to be a thriving resort area, but no longer. The actual Post Office building has been restored, and sits in a fork in the road across from Calvary Epicopal Church, just up the hill from the old water bottling facility (Which is now part of the Spartanburg Boys Home).
