I am looking for a marriage record for an Edward WADE b. 1760 VA who m. Nancy Ann (surname unknown but may be BURFORD). The marriage would have been abt. 1773. Edward and Nancy lived in what was Old Pendleton District and what is present day Anderson Co. Would love to find any info on the Mary CLEMENTS Wade who was the mother of the Edward WADE above. Mary was b. abt. 1730 VA and died in 1790 in Greene Co GA. I know a great deal about Mary's children but would like to find info about Mary herself. Was her father Benjamin CLEMENTS? Was she the sister of Peyton CLEMENTS and Grissel CLEMENTS who both married BURFORDs? I am also looking for a William KING b. bet. 1760-1770 who wife was prob. Frances MORRIS. William and Frances were active in Big Creek Baptist Church and Head of Enoree Baptist Church where William was a minister for the later.
