Please forgive the multiple posting of this question. I am trying to locate tax lists for Newberry and Edgefield and Ninety Six Districts prior to and after the Revolutionary War. I have not been able to find any mention of my ancestors in the Abstracts of Deeds books nor the Petition for land grants. They had land on Ninety Six Creek near the Saluda River. They may have obtained it by grant which I have not found yet or purchase from a prior owner. The names of the families I am researching in this area are Jackson and Langford/Lankford. Also my best genie-buddy is researching Wilson family in Newberry beginning about 1771 when they migrated from Ireland. Our library does not have the tax lists nor the SC Gen. Society Journals. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Tree Mother in Texas
