The surnames I am looking for in OLD96 are: Puckett and Scott. Specifically, I am looking for parents and siblings of Miles C. Puckett b. c. 1813 SC d. after 1903 GA and parents, siblings, and first wife of John Thomas Scott b c. 1787 SC or VA, d. 1844 Union Co., SC. Both families were in Union Co., SC for a time. John Thomas Scott appears to have had a long time residence in Union Co., SC. According to the 1880 listing for one of his sons, he was born in VA. A listing in 1880 for another son said he was born in SC. Miles C. Puckett was a Methodist Minister and, thus, road the circuit. He changed circuits and primary addresses quite a bit. His first circuit, however, included Union Co., SC and he kept returning to that county from time to time. For those reasons, I believe his family may also have been from Union Co., SC.
