Hi! There are some Lequieu's in Saline Co, AR in late 1800's and still some there. In the 1910 census, Gus Lequieu stated that he was born in France and came to US in 1874. Another brother stated that he came to the US in 1879. There may have been other brothers that did not migrate to AR. Might have settled in SC-very possible. Interesting that Gus Lequieu's wife, Mattie Dodgen's, parents came from the Old 96!! Patricia A.
