Hi Pam I believe it is local community members who are compiling the information. The Habersham co.Ga.mailing list had a post asking for articles to be contributed on one's Habersham co.Ga.ancestors,from thoes who wish to add their information. I expect it to be full of good information,if the project gets off the ground. There is a lot of history in that area,I would like to know what brought people to that area and how they were related and lived. I visited Batesville,(a few miles from Helen,Ga.) over a year ago the first time. It is a beautiful rural area,with the Soque river winding thru it. My Brookshire ancestors (from Buncombe/Haywood co.NC.) lived beside the Soque river at a place called Brookshire Bottoms,on land that belonged to the Sutton family.They farmed and attended Providence Baptist Church,where they were buried in 1875. I am also searching for information on Prince and Berry,some of whom were in Habersham co.Ga. thanks Gay
