    2. Sherry, Do you have access to Wm. C. Stewart (the LA. newspaper man) analysis of the 1800 Pendleton Co.,SC census? There are Edins listed in it. In the section of Old Pendleton that is now Pickens Co., Stewart shows on page 13 of his book (published by the National Genealogical Society, Washington, D. C. in 1963, ) on page 8 of the census: household #387 Samuel Edins Males: 11100- Females 10200-00 household #390 Alexander Edins Males 11201 Females 11001-00 household #392 Jacob Edins Males 30200 Females 20010-00 At #366 is listed John Justice who Sterwart says sold land on 1 August 1801, 100 acres on Weavers Creek of Woodbury Creek , a tributary of the Saluda River to William Stewart of Pickens Co. On page 24 of Stewart's analysis, and on page 13 of the original census, still the Pickens Co., area, he lists household#654 William Edins Males 21110-21010-02 the last 02 means slaves. I am still planning on posting some more Stewart data to this site, but just do not have it organized well enough now to make much sense. I hope this may be of some use to you. Cordelia
