Bear with me in the hopes we can separate out the Stewarts and make some meaningful connections. First: from tne Anderson County Courthouse, Deed Book "B", bottom of page 71 and top of page 72" South Carolina: This indenture made the sixth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand and ninety-one (1791) and in the fifteenth year of the Independence and Sovereignty of the United State of America, between Andrew LIDDLE (Liddell) of the County of Pendleton and State aforesaid, planter, of the one part, and JOHN STEWART of the same County and State aforesaid, planter of the other part" Witnesseth that the said ANDREW LIDDLE & JEAN LIDDLE his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of fifty-two pounds sterliing money of the said State, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, released, conveyed, and confirmed, and by these presents, do grant, bargain, well, alien, release, convey, and confirm unto the said JOHN STEWART in his actual possession now being by virtue of a bargain and sale to him thereof made, for one whole year by an indenture of lease bearing date the day next before the day of the date of these presents and by force of the Statute for tramsferring uses into actual possession, and to him and to his heirs and assigns forever all that plantation or tract, containing two hundred and forty acres of land (be the same more or less) lying and being on both sides of ther TWELVE MILE RIVER in the District of Ninety-Six, bounding on all sides by vacant land, at the time of the original survey thereof having such
