Hi, Lee and Billie, I do not have anything in my Stewart file that shows Garrett connections, but I know that there was a Dickeson Garrett in that part of Old Pendleton District in that part that is now Anderson Co., SC showing Males 2-0-0-1-0 Females 1-1-0-1-0-00 at No. 941 on the list and in the section that is now Oconee Co., in Wm. Stewart analysis of the 1800 Old Pendleton District Census there is a note that says: 'When John Stewart from Rockingham Co., NC leased his farm in Pendleton in 1814 to Daniel Garrett, adjoining landholders were Wm. and Stephen Clayton, Jr. and Wm. Heath, all from Stokes Co., NC families. This statement follows the listing for a Warren Clayton, household # 167 on page 22 of the census. I think that I may have told you previously, that there is a Garrett or Stewart household in Tippah Co., MS....northern part, I believe, and for the year 1860, if I recall correctly. Whichever the household is Garrett or Stewart, it has members in the household by the other name. The Stewarts are not mine. Will print your inquiry and put it in my "Other Stewarts" file, in the event we get a break through. Cheers, Cordelia
