I saw this posting on the surname STEWART with a connection to Mississippi, and thought I'd share some info with you folk. I do not know there is a connection, but you might be interested to know this. Thomas A. STEWART, born about 1812 in ??SC??, married Christina BOYD, born about 1816 in SC, on May 10, 1839, in Aberdeen, Monroe Co., MS. They had eleven children. They were in Pontotoc Co, MS, by 1860. There are many descendants in Pontotoc Co, and Calhoun Co, MS. My interest in this STEWART family stems from the BOYD connection from Union District, SC. Hope this helps. Jim Allen.
