A word of caution...these are fantastic sources but you may want to take the time to look at the documents yourself. I found an abstract of some important deeds were very incomplete and inaccurate. One very important one said that this ancestor sold 400 acres...the real deed said that he sold 100 of 400 acres and told specifically where the deed was filed, which was tremendous help. Also showed that there was no clear title to the land as the son was selling his part before the estate was settled and before his mother died. The date of the sale also helped me pinpoint where he was and when he moved from Union Co to Abbeville Co.
