My query was originally posted to the list on August 27, however, I have not seen it published yet, so I am reposting----------- According to a locally published history of Lea County, NM, John Wood and Storey Lord were married and raising a family in Pendleton Dist perhaps between 1800 and 1810. Their son, Robert Wood, married into the Traylor family, also reported to be generally from this area. Descendants of Robert Wood moved over into Hall/Jackson Co, GA by mid 1820s, migrated into the Gadsden and Sand Mountain areas of Alabama just prior to the Civil War, and then went to the Erath County area of Texas in the late 1860s...with McCleskeys, Mortons, Traylors, another other allied families who also have been found in Pendleton Dist. Particularly, I am interested in connecting with anyone who may have information on John Wood and Storey Lord, both reportedly from England, and/or any of their siblings or issues.
