I am looking for a Mackfield (Maxfield,Manfield, Maxwell) Holmes who married Elenor Young daughter of Andrew Young, Andrew died in the Pendleton District in 1834. Mackfield was on the 1830, 1840 and 1850 census of Pickens Co. I believe he is listed on the 1860 Oconee Co. census as M. Holmes. His son Andrew Holmes married Narcissa Rothell. Daughter of William and Nancy Poor Rothell. The Rothell's have been in the area since Claiborn Rothell. Nancy Poor was the daughter of David and Francis Poor. I am also looking for information on Abner and Delphia Holmes Boatwright, Abner's parents William and Elizabeth Tyner Boatwright. The earliest record's are deeds from the 1820's and 1830's. Delphia Holmes, I believe to be the daughter of Gideon V. and Rachel Camp Holmes. Also would like information on a Rachel and Delphia Camp the daughters of Edward and Elizabeth Carney Camp. Rachel and Delphia was supposed to have been born in the Pendleton district in 1806 and 1809. I have information from about the 1830's and 1840's forward. I am having trouble before this time period. I was just under the impression that, this was the old Pendleton District and that was what I was looking for. I was just suprised when so much information did not pertain to this time period. Holmes, Young, Boatwright, Rothell, Poor, and Camp are names that should be around. Maybe they are there but they're lost in everything else.
