Kay, I have another line of Smiths in Greenville and Anderson, SC. I haven't been able to connect with Herb nor with your Smiths, YET. I have my g grandparents: Anderson Union Smith b 1834 CSA m Mariah Tollison. Anderson's brother was William P. Smith CSA b 1822 m Dicey. They all lived in Greenville, then moved to Anderson, then Anderson & Mariah moved back to G'ville. I do hope you keep up this correspondence with each other 'till I pick up a clue. Marion, You know, with two lines of Smiths from SC, and one from NC/AL, you'd think I could come up with most <G> but I'm sorry, you're right. Funny too, because my HOPE ancestor, Ellison had a brother, Anderson. Both of these fellows were supposed to have also come from SC. Makes you think that there's more of a connection back there in SC than was in GA.
