Billie, Who were your Jonathan Clarke and his wife Jane. I have a John B. Clarke born c1791 in SC and was in Anderson at least by 1833. His mother was probably a Jane because Jane Clarke (not his wife) was living with him in the 1850 census and was living with his son, J. B. Clarke Jr. in 1860 as Sr. had died by then. I'm sure my John Clarke must have been beamed down by the same Alien Space ship. I would be delighted by any new information on this man. Susan -- Susan C. Billy, There was a family of Clarks living in Old 96 part of Edgefield County in 1790 census. Two John Clarks, No middle init. or sr. or jr. Elizabeth, James, and Aaron. You may know of them but thought it maybe a lead for you. Since our family was there and moved in the early 1800's to Abbeville and Anderson. Due to Indian treaties and the availability of land.
