Mary I think the Nancy King who married Elisha Webb is d/o William King m. Nancy Unknown. I do not have anything on Mary King m. J.D. Brewster. See the following: "Pendleton District and Anderson Co., SC Wills, Estates, and Legal Records," compiled by Alexander, Elliott, and Willie, p. 118. Anderson Co. District, SC Will Book I, 1835-1857, Record of Wills, Book B, p. 79-126. Will of William King, p. 380-83. Wife Nancy plantation on which I live as belongs to the grant of Peter Horry, 300 acres, also the slaves Phebe, Tom and Matilda, for her lifetime or widowhood. To son Robert A. King slaves Mark, Rosa and Sylvia. He is to live with and take care of my wife for life or widowhood. Daughter Martha King is not married. She is to have land on Seneca River adjoining lands of Thomas White, Thomas Bruce and Wm. Palmer containing 230 acres, also slaves Caroline, Peter, Clarissa and Lewis. slaves Fanny, George, Sam and Moses to be sold and of the proceeds of sale Hiram King, Solomon King and Eliza Kay be paid $700 and Nancy Webb $600. If they have died same be paid their issue than living, remainder of proceeds equally divided between all my children, including the said Hiram King, Solomon King, Eliza Kay and Nancy Webb and excluding Robt. A. King and Martha King who have already been provided for. To granddaughter Nancy Mary King, daughter of Robt. A. King, a small negro girl Cloe. To his son William John King a little girl Jane. To granddaughter Nancy Carter, wife of James Carter, at death or marriage of said wife the slave Phebe in addition to which I will her a share of the residue of my estate under the fourth clause of this will equal to the share of each of my children therein provided for. My reasons for making this will are as follows: I made a will in 1849. On reflection I think my health was then too feeble to arrange my affairs properly and I find that two of my slaves Sam and Moses were left out of that will. I therefore intend this will as a revocation of that one. Executors: Hiram R. and Robt. A. King, my sons. Sept. 28, 1853. (Signed) William King. Wit: Jonathan Pickrell, Matthew Martin, D.J. Hix. Mary and Delores, Yes, Nancy King, married to Elisha Webb, was William King's daughter. Elisha Webb parents were Charles Webb and Catherine Stribling. Nancy, Elisha, and two sons moved to Georgia in the 1870's. William King was married to Nancy Jones, whose parents were William Jones and Polly Mudd. The property left by William King in his will was located in Fork Township, Anderson County, SC, close to Fairplay, SC. The property is now under Lake Hartwell. We do not know where William King, who died 1853-54, was buried. William King was my gggrandfather.
