She is believed to have had a relative, Matthew Jenkins who later married Sadie's daughter Zelpha/Sylpha, probably about 1815, but this may have occurred after the family left Pendleton. They were in Pendleton in 1810, but in Southern Illinois, Pope County by 1818 or perhaps before. It is also possible that they tarried awhile somewhere in Tennessee. Ring any bells? Thanks Margaret Oliver Hi Margaret, Most of our Jenkins were from Charleston and Edisto Island. They went to Pendleton in the summer to get away from the mosquitos and the heat. William S. Jenkins, MD married two Gilliard daughters. Had one child by each. Died before the last child was born, William Lewis Jenkins, MD. He was raised by the Gilliards, after medical school returned to Pendleton, built a practice, had to two wives. One of his sons William G. Jenkins married Sarah Boone McBryde, who is my husbands g/grandparents. This time frame is 1800-1908. Sorry I could not be of any help. Bettie Jenkins
