Nancy, I am not researching Goldens, but have a connection that might help you. My 2nd great grandmother Abby Orr Wilson had a younger brother, Thomas Caswell Orr (1829 SC-1918 TX) who married Hannah Harrison Golden (1836 SC-1907 TX). The Orr family (parents Thomas and Sarah Orr) lived in the Powdersville area of Anderson County SC. Hannah's parents were John Golden and Sarah Ann Lewis of SC. Thomas and Hannah Orr left SC about 1868-1869 and ultimately settled in Luella, Grayson, TX. I believe they traveled with Hannah's parents and other Golden relatives, but can't find my notes on that at this moment. I have a vague memory that Hannah's father was a preacher? Will look through my stacks and let you know what surfaces.
