Since Mr. Donald Tucker was kind enough to look on the 1850 census and find info about my gggrandfather(I think), Does anyone have any info for Wm. Stansell was the son of William "Willis"Stansell who was family #711 in the !850 census of Pickens Co. At that time he was called Harleston, b. 1836. William appears to have a second younger wife Mary not old enough to be mother of Harleston and the other older children. Willis was born about 1810 and died before 1900. It is possible that Harleston was in Henderson Co. in 1860 since many of the families in the "mountains" moved back and forth across the border. Don
