    3. There was a John Cannon in OP 1790 and 1800 with several young children--may be yours and maybe the basis for the earlier researcher's conclusion. But there was also a John Cannon in Spartanburg and another in Newberry. The one in Spartanburg came originally from Stafford VA, but I don't know how/if any of these John Cannons are related.
