Hello, I'm also researching the same area for my gr gr gr grandfather Nicholas briskey/brisky and his wife Elizabeth Merck/Mark. And in my researching found that many families migrated together around 1830's to land grants in GA and then onto Chambers County,AL. I have a copy of the Heritage of Chambers County,AL book by heritage publishing great little book. And There are Middleton's could be decendents of your line. Pages 124,289 It might be worth your time to go to your local library and try to obtain a copy to look at through the inner library loan dept. Usually free. Otherwise the books are about 50.00. But also what is nice is the decendents whose articles are in the book have their names and addresses listed at the end of their article for contact for family. Good luck Sandel [email protected] Seattle Surnames: Briskey,Brisky,Brisque,Demastus,Sutton,Meadows,Hodnett,Moore,McIntosh,Leverett,Mark/Merck (States SC, GA, Chambers County,AL, Washington State, TX and france)
