Hello, I'm also researching SC area. For my gr gr gr grandfather Nicholas Briskey/Brisky and his wife Eliabeth Mark/Merck. Around 1789 or before. And in my researching I found that many of the families migrated together around 1830's. Many to parts of GA around troup and harris county. And then to chambers County,AL. I have found many decendents for those from SC area and GA for others. I looked in the index and freeman is on several pages evidentally with marriages into other families of the area. We'll worth a trip to your local library and ask if they can order you a copy to look at through your inner library loan dept.
