    3. Thank you for the help, I appreciate it greatly. And yes some of these Daniels did migrate to Alabama and Georgia. My line left SC. went to Old Buncombe county, NC 1805, then went to TN. migrated to Illinois , Shelby and Clay counties and then to Ark. [email protected] wrote:Hello, I'm also researching my gr gr gr grandfather in same area. In my researching I found many of the families migrated together around 1830's. Many first into GA around troup and harris counties, then to Chambers County,AL and surrounding areas. I have a copy of the Heritage of Chambers County,AL book by Heritage Publishing Co and in the index is a lot of pages (Most marriages) of Daniel family. Probably decendents. I have found many for other families this way. Might be worth a trip to your local library and ask for inner library loan dept. It's free. I found them wonderful for such books. 3. DANIEL families apparently moved to AL from Pendleton Dist, SC, as did my CROW family. Coleman, who purchased it from the Huntsville Land Office Sept. 17, 1832. The earliest graves are unmarked and are surrounded by a rock wall. These graves are mentioned in an Indenture between Thompson J. Coleman and wife, Martha, to Stephen Daniel for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty-five dollars paid by the said Stephen Daniel sold one certain tract of land situated and known as the South 1/2 of the West 1/2 of NW 1/4 of Sec. 5, Township 7, Range 5 West containing forty acres with all singular appurtenances thereto belonging with the exception of "TWENTY FEET SQUARE AROUND THE TWO GRAVES IN THE GARDEN." Stephen Daniel sold this land to John Tatum on Sept. 7, 1935 and again the exception of "TWENTY FEET WHERE THE GRAVES ARE" is mentioned. Joseph Stroup and wife Mary (Polly) James are buried close to this rock wall.

    3. Thank you, I appreciate it, I do believe that the line of Daniel that I am tracing, part of them went into Alabama and Georgia. In fact I wished my Daniel line had, they may have been easier to trace. Some of the Daniel in my line married into the Self family and others also married Selfs. William Daniel son of Basil married Susannah Self, they married in 1825 Clay county, Illinois, they migrated into Carroll and Newton county, ARk. and then went onto Texas. We are stuck in Pendelton District 1800 census, with William, Jeremiah, Basil Daniel. We can't get past them, Know one seems to know who they belonged to? "A. S.
