Angel, I think I have found your families in Edgefield Co. In the 1790 census you will find Caty Mark, (probably widow of John) a Coonrood Mark (pro. Conrad) and a Henry. They seem to spread over to Abbeville Co. also in the census, as there is a Conrad & a Samuel there. There are other Marks also in SC In 1790 Abbeville Co., you will find one Nicholas Brishey 4 names away from one Conrad Mark. The deeds of Abbeville Co. burned. In 1790 Edgefield, Caty & Henry Mark are found 1 name below Coonrood Mark. Caty is in a HH all by herself. >From Pauline Young's Abstracts of Old Ninety Six & Abbeville District Wills and Bonds , p. 421 is an abstract of the will of John Balthaser Mark in which he names wife (name not given) son Henry, dau. Elizabeth wife of Nicholas Brisky, dau Philipine, dau. Elizabeth Margaretha Mark, Conrad Mark (no relationship stated). This will was made 21 Mar 1789 & proven 5 Apr 1790, so John did not make the 1790 census. If you don't have this, it is in John Mark's estate records, Box 109, Pkg 3032. The Abbeville Judge of Probate's Office will copy this estate for you if you will contact them. There are also deeds in Edgefield Co. for the Marks and a very few Briskeys. Look for Bresky also, for Nicholas - this is spelled different ways. Someone in the searchroom of the Old Edgefield Genealogical Society would probably copy these for a small fee. I don't live in either of these counties. Wilma K.
