Did you find records for Big Creek Gaptist Church? My g-g-g-grandparents, Elisha Kelly, Sr and elizabeth Johnson Kelly are buried there as well as my g-g-g-g-grandparents, Reubin Johnson and Nancy Caroline Greenlee Johnson. Also am looking for a web site I found at one time and can't seem to find it again that had some historic records of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. My g-grandparents Tandy Walker Thompson and Mary Elizabeth Kelly Thompson are buried there as well as Mary Elizabeth's mother Irene Carolinne Cox Kelly. She is buried as I. C. Ellison, having later married William Ellison after the death or disappearance of her first husband, Harvy Kelly. Hi Caroline, Yup, I found the records for Big Creek Baptist Church at Furman University Library. In fact, they have the records for a lot of the old Baptist churches on microfilm. Caroline, The Big Creek Baptist Church minutes have been put into a book. You might find them in Columbia at the Richland Co. Library or the Caroliniana Library. You can probably pull up their card catalogs on your computer. I don't know about Cedar Grove, but do know the church burned down a couple of years ago. My paternal grandparents are buried at Cedar Grove, plus several more relatives, including Irene (Rene) Cox Kelly Ellison. Thanks, I will look for the records here in Columbia. Do you descend from Irene Caroline Cox Kelly Ellison from her marriage to Harvey Kelly or to William Ellison? Irene Caroline is my g-g-grandmother through her marriage to Harvey Kelly and their daughter Mary Elizabeth. Also do you know anything about a Laurina Ellison? She was the daughter, I think of Mary Elizabeth Kelly Ellison and Lawrence Ellison. My Aunt Rena said that she was named for Laurina. Caroline ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wilma C.
