I am looking for Hawkins, Looper, Caddel(l) and Tidmore's. Thanks for any help. Beverley
I ordered the land plats from the South Carolina department of Archives and History. I can not find the link I used but it may have been this one that Shirley Bennett posted last year: http://www.archivesindex.sc.gov/search/default.asp This link does not work for me any more! This link may have a link to find these records but I did not find it in a quick search. http://www.state.sc.us/scdah/ One thing of interest that I did notice is that the Confederate Pension Application images are now listed as being on line. I had to order and pay for some of those records last year! The plats for the State Land Grants of SC can also be found on microfilm at the Greenville, SC Library. If you ever need a paid researcher to find these for you, please contact me privately and I'll send you my rates. Bunnie Gilmer Bonnie S.
