    1. [SC-OPD] Re Naturalization Petition
    2. If you haven't read this article it will help you understand some places to look and how persistent you will need to be. http://www.archives.gov/research_room/genealogy/research_topics/naturalization _records.html I would check with SC State Archives first to try to locate the court jackets. If they don't have a clue and you have access to FHC do consider ordering all the films of court records that might cover the period of time. Since LDS doesn't always microfilm all records (and rarely microfilms the contents of the jackets) at a court house you may need to spend some time at the court house (or wherever all their historical court records and jackets are now held) or hire a local professional who is familiar with all the records and knows where those jackets are (if they now exist) and how they are filed. County and court clerks simply don't have the time to do this type of service for the public. If your contact with Nat. Archives was through Washington DC you might consider contacting the NARA branch at Atlanta for more input. I wish you success on this project. Pat
