I have a William C. Smith b. 1882 in SC, son of Zachariah H. Smith and Florence Rackley. Is this your William C. Smith? I have one uncle who is pure male line from William C. Smith. That is as far back as we can find any records, so we are very intersted in Smith information. I am a Smith twice on my father's side (South Carolina and North Carolina) and once on my mother's side. My William C. Smith was born about 1842 in Dekalb County, Alabama. He married Nancy C. Smith, born 1847, about 1866. They had children named Marion Walter Smith (not the one that has a junior named after him), Richmond E., Solomon C., Enna T., Della J., Ernest Coker Smith and William R. Smith. Unfortunately my mother and uncle spent very little time with any of that family and don't know much about it. Marion Walter Smith, born August 1867, married Minvera Jane Nicholson, born Feb 1872. They wre married about 1891. Everyone is from Alabama. Some of them lived in Collinsville, Alabama, and some of them moved on to Jefferson County around the turn of the century. -----Original Message----- From: Beverley Caddel Ferrell <jf1991@rgv.rr.com> To: SC-OLD-PENDLETON-DIST-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Tue, 28 Feb 2006 14:04:10 -0600 Subject: Re: [SC-OPD] Southern Smith Line I have a William C. And I know that William C. Smith's mother's name was Sarah. She was born about 1818 in Mississippi. Her husband was born in Tennessee, but I do not know what his name was. -----Original Message----- From: Beverley Caddel Ferrell <jf1991@rgv.rr.com> To: SC-OLD-PENDLETON-DIST-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Tue, 28 Feb 2006 14:04:10 -0600 Subject: Re: [SC-OPD] Southern Smith Line I have a William C.
