I think there are several of us that are interested in this. I thought maybe I was the only one missing something. Thanks in advance for letting us know. Several widows, with their children, traveled after the war via wagon train, from Old Pickens District, SC, to Sevier County, TN. Some of the surnames were; Sanders, Lumpkin, Emory/Hembree/Emery, etc. You mentioned Gossett as one of you lines. I have a letter written in the 1880s from H.J. Gossett, a preacher, to Elisabeth Smith Sanders. The letter was mailed and received in East Tennessee. ----- Original Message ----- From: "B Nelson" <distler5@charter.net> To: <SC-OLD-PENDLETON-DIST-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, November 02, 2005 2:14 PM Subject: Re: [SC-OPD] William Copeland, Sr. & Jr. > Please tell me where I may see or purchase this publication. Perhaps this issue names some of the other surviving Rev. War soldiers. Is anyone on the list able to get a copy of the 15 July 1829 issue?
