Guy - saw you mentioned Hembree - which family was this? Diane -----Sent: Wednesday, November 02, 2005 3:28 PM Subject: [SC-OPD] B. Nelson Several widows, with their children, traveled after the war via wagon train, from Old Pickens District, SC, to Sevier County, TN. Some of the surnames were; Sanders, Lumpkin, Emory/Hembree/Emery, etc. You mentioned Gossett as one of you lines. I have a letter written in the 1880s from H.J. Gossett, a preacher, to Elisabeth Smith Sanders. The letter was mailed and received in East Tennessee. ----- Original Message ----- From: "B Nelson" <distler5@charter.net> To: <SC-OLD-PENDLETON-DIST-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, November 02, 2005 2:14 PM Subject: Re: [SC-OPD] William Copeland, Sr. & Jr. > Please tell me where I may see or purchase this publication. Elizabeth Sanders Emory was one of the widows that traveled, with her children, via The Widows Wagon Train to Sevier County, Tennessee. She was the widow of Edward Emory Jr. If you are descended from Emory/Emery/Hembree, Larry Petrisky has produced some wonderful research on the surname. http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnmcmin2/Hembrees.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: "Diane S" <dsanfilippo303@adelphia.net> To: <SC-OLD-PENDLETON-DIST-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, November 03, 2005 7:08 AM Subject: Re: [SC-OPD] B.
