Ann Gaines married Gassaway and moved to Alabama; 2. Ella Gaines m. Dr. Thomas Hudgens; 3. Elizabeth Gaines; Louisa Gaines, Helen Gaines, Jane Gaines, Mary Gaines, Emma Gaines, Capers Gaines, Walker Gaines, Joe Gaines, George Gaines. No. 2 child Ella Gaines Hudgens had six children: 1. John Hudgens, 2. Maggie Hudgens, 3. Augustus Hudgens married Lucia Taylor. Elizabeth Hudgens, 5. Kate Hudgens, 6. Arthur Hudgens . Augustus Hudgens and wife, Lucia Taylor Hudgens had daughter Elizabeth Whitner Hudgens. 2. John Whitfield and wife Susan Finley Whitfield had the following children: 1. Ella Whitfield married James Jones, 2. Elbert Whitfield died unmarried; 3. John C. Whitfield, Jr., married Ella Cox of Tennessee. 4. Sue Whitfield, unmarried.
