John "red" BROWN was born ca 1787 in OPD or York District. Married Margaret Hodges BROOKS, dau of William BROOKS. The BROWNS and BROOKS families left OPD in 1817 for Blount Co, AL. Later the BROWN family went to Tuscaloosa Co, AL and in 1836 to TX. William CANNON was born ca 1723 in OPD, married Anne ?, had dau Eleanor CANNON who first married Ambrose HUDGINS and theN Samuel TAYLOR. Any info will be appreciated. I am descended from Eleanor Cannon and Samuel Taylor. Somewhere in my searchings I got some information that said that Eleanor was adopted by the Cannons. Can anyone verify this? Also I have Mrs. Cannon as Nancy (I think this was once a nickname for Ann) but I have no surname. Samuel and Eleanor named one of their sons William Cannon Taylor. That's all that I have on Cannon.
