Married ca.1830 John Dodson and Ellender [Nelly] (her last name unknown). They are listed in the 1830 Census. They lived near the confluence of Mile Creek and Keowee River. John was born in South Carolina. I think he had a brother named Richard as his son, my g-grandfather was named "William Richard Dodson" and a Richard Dodson was living nearby. Six Mile Baptist -- tombstone: Elizabeth Dodson Durham. The J. stood for Jane. ] Sarah E. 12 John W. 10 Rebecca C. 8 James H. 6 George W. 4 (all born in Pickens, SC) son: 338 DODSON George W. 27 [Died in Civil War -- buried at Marietta, Ga. Nelly Dodson, Mrs. Wm. Durham and Mary C.
