Does anyone know of the Absolum Waits family? I am having a difficult time searching this name, it varies so much in spellings on the census. I am trying to find the parentage of Frances E (Fanny) Wates born abt 1856 GA? Death record for 1929 says TN. But it also says Charlie as father and Sarah as mother. I have searched everywhere for her. She could be the daughter of Madison Waits and Sarah Walker of GA. I just don't know. She married James W Webb born about 1846 SC. What is so puzzling is she first shows up married to him in Cherokee Co GA in 1880. Any feedback on this one will be so greatly appreciated. Mary
