Rex- thanks so much for your reply to my question about the Kerby/Kirby's. It seems we are not from the same Kirby's, though. Morgan Kerby (my ggggrandfather), was b. 1810 in NC, and moved to GA around 1830. He married Hannah Shaw in 1838 in Rabun Co. GA. He is my brick wall. I wish I knew of your Jacob Kirby, but that name is not in my line so far. If I run across it, I will let you know, and I have saved your e-mail in my ancestry file.
