(Wilkes Deed Book GG,p.369) Carter and Gilbert m: Taylor girls. Sylvanus Gilbert was in Wilkes Co as early as 6/29/1786;Jonathan and Wm Waits were in the 1805 Jackson lottery. A Wm was in Hall Co in1820, Humphrey Wates &Elizabeth Langford in Jackson Co.
