John Nicholson was in Pendleton Dist. at least 1789-1806, when he left Big Creek Baptist Church for parts unknown. He lived on Big Creek of the Saluda River, near present-day Williamston. He was given permission to preach by Big Creek Baptist church, and may have been ordained somewhere else at a later date. Jane or Jean was likely his wife, and he probably had a daughter named Ann. I'm looking for anything else on John Nicholson: parents, spouses, children, migration, burial, deeds, will, etc. I suspect he was related to the William Nicholson line of Pendleton Dist.
