Is there anyone who could look up the 1840 Pickens Co.Census , in the index, and tell me how many CHARLES PITTS there are listed.And if it is not to much trouble, if there only one or two, could you see if one had a wife name MARY. I know in 1820 census there was only one CHARLES PITTS listed and in 1850 & 1860 there were two listed. And does anyone know what year the South Carolina Census started listing the name of the wife and children ? I would just like to say ThankYou for your help. Shirley ( Pitts ) Bennett
