Ann, Stewart, p. 33, Kilpatrick's Regt.- Oconee census p. 18 Household #21 00100-10100-02 With the following notation: Asa Kemp bought land on Little Beaverdam Creek of Tugaloo on 16 September 1799 from Samuel Barton. Edward Kemp was in the 1790 Pendleton census and Asa and Thomas in 1800. The names of Jonathan and DEMSEY appear in a 1799 deed but were not enumerated in the census. Stewart, p. 60 Kilpatrick Reg/t - Oconee census p. 30 Household #648 Thomas Kemp 10010-20100-00 with the following notation: Edward Kemp was in Pendleton in 1790 as were a number of the family in Greenville District, some of whom later went to Gwinnett Co. GA. Not found in the census, Jonathan Kemp sold 14 August 1799 to John Harris, land on Coneross Creek in this area, with Dimey (Dicey) Kemp as witness. Asa Kemp of the Pickens Co. area in 1800 bought of Samuel Barton on 16 Sept.1799 land on Little Beaverdam of Tugaloo. Pressly and James Kemp reached Walker Co. AL by 1833 and Calvin 1840. Stewart, p. 74 Kirkpatrick (Oconee) census p.35 under an entry for a Ezekial Harris, Stewart says A John Harris , prhaps the executor above, was livng in the Coneross Creek area in 1790 and he or another John bought land there from Jonathan Kemp. (editorial note by csholem: seems Stewart is repeating previously noted info.) Stewart, p.96 Moor's Reg'taq Anderson Co. census p. 40 under an entry for Drury Pruit household, Stewart says: Fields Pruit/Prewit was granted land on Cane Creek of Little River 2 June 1787 which he sold to Jonathan Kemp sold it to Harris .
