    2. Hello Listers, For those of you inquiring about Nicholsons, I can offer you nothing more than what appears in Wm. C. Stewart's (LA newspaper man) Analysis of 1800 Pendleton District Census. (This is National Genealogical Society, 1963). Stewart's pagination: pp. 1-31 Brown's Regiment (now Pickens County) p. 8 William Jamison bought on 20 Nov. 1791 from John Nicholson 225 acres on Pierce Creek of George's Creek of Saluda River p. 13 Bolin Nicholson 20010-30010-00 p. 18 John Holden died in 1852 (Pickens Equity Pack 76) owning land on Nicholson's Fork of Little River of Keowee, which was named for John Nicholson after he purchased it from Wm.Stewart. p. 25 A tract of land granted to John Nicholson on 3 July 1786 on George's Creek was sold 24th March 1798 by Isaac James to David Duncan. Kilpatrick's Regiment (now Oconee) pp 31-95: p. 46 John Nicholson 40010-11010-00 p. 70 Margaret Green in Abbeville in 1790, possibly the widow of Benjamin Green, and Benjamin Green, Jr. owned two tracts in Pendleton , both of which he sold to William Nicholson. Nicholson and his wife Margaret sold one of them on waters of Little Generostee to Alexander Sherrard 24 March 1800. (Not in Wm. Stewart's book, but my Stewart Line married in to the Sherrard line: John Sherrard married Nancy Stewart; he a younger brother of Alex. Sherrard; she a sister to my Samuel Stewart. csholem) p.80 Wm. Stewart land he acquired in 1795 to Wm. Nicholson 22 Oct. 1800. p. 83 William Nicholson 40110-11010-00 p.83 Elijah Nicholson (not in 1800 census) bought land on Great Generostee in March 1804. Moor's Regiment, (now Anderson Co.) pp.95-122 p.94 Isaac Holden married Jane, a daughter of Ira B. Nicholson and Wm. Holden married married Martha Nicholson before 1851 That about does it for the Nicholsons. I hope that this is of some help to you. Cordelia
