I desperately need help with my Moores! My GT. (3rd) Grandparents were a Samuel and Anna Moore (Moor/More/Moar/etc.) who were in Benton Co., AL, in 1836. By 1840 they were in the Randolph/Clay Co., AL area. He was a Primitive Baptist Minister and farmer. All the censuses of Samuel indicate that he was b. c. 1797 in SC. Their four girls were all born in SC beginning around 1820. Anna's was apparently born in either NC or VA around 1795-6. From the ages of their four daughters, Samuel and Anna were probably married in SC around 1818-20 (+/-). Some family tradition has said that there may have been other children who did not make it to Alabama. I suspect that Samuel was from a strong religious background.
