Cindy and all, I could only find the indexes for Death Certificates on the site. Is there any way to view the death certificates. Or where can we find them without paying DHEC for a copy? Dave, The SC Death Certificates are on microfilm at the Greenville Co. Library. You can print the copies for 25 cents each. Does anyone know of a Stony Point in Anderson County? I know that there is one in Greenwood County, are they one and the same? A. Deason Smith

I live in Greenwood County and our Stoney Point could not be the same as one in Anderson, if there is one there. The lower part of Greenwood Co. was made from the upper part Edgefield Co. and the rest of Greenwood Co. was made from Abbeville Co. - none of it was ever in Anderson Co. From the pension records from the National Archives, Washington, DC one Mary Watters died on 26 August 1880 at Stony Point, Anderson County, SC. Trying to find where that might be.. A.
