    1. Moved the Town of Pickens

    3. When the OPD was split into Anderson Dist. and Pickens Dist., the town of Pickens was nearer to the current location of the Duke Power Plant. This gave it a more central location in order to serve both current-day Pickens Co. and Oconee Co., SC. Later Pickens Dist. was split into the two counties of Pickens Co., and Oconee Co., so the town of Pickens was moved to make it more centrally located to the current Pickens Co., SC. I have the dates that all this happened should you need them - somewhere, but I will be glad to dig them out should you want them. Hope this helps!
