    3. Thomas Frank Medlin was born approx 1835 in Pendleton. His father, Britton Medlin, was born in Pendleton in 1804. His father Frances Medlin is first found on the census in Franklin County, North Carolina. That is as far as I have been able to go. 3. Marilyn, Here's the link to Furman's church records listing in their special collections: http://library.furman.edu/depts/speccoll/churchrecsbycounty.htm I borrowed some church minutes on microfilm from them several years ago via Interlibrary loan (ILL). Ask your reference librarian about the process. Your local library must have a microfilm reader for you to make use of this process, of course. (My closest library does not have a reader, so I have to go to another library when I borrow film via ILL.) The minutes for Little River appear to cover your time period, so best of luck to you!
