Yes, it makes sense. John SHERRARD is the older brother of Alexander SHERRARD Jr. who married Jane DICKEY (my ancestors). I don't know whose child Mary Ann Dickey BOYD was as I have little information on William's DICKEY's decendants. Both Alexander SHERRARD & William DICKEY left wills. Descendants of John Sherard Generation No. 1 John Sherard (Alexander) was born Abt. 1792 in South Carolina. He married Nancy Stewart Abt. 1810 in Anderson Co, SC. Children of John Sherard and Nancy Stewart are: 2 i. Elizabeth Sherard. 3 ii. William H. T. Sherard. -----Original Message----- From: SnellHolem@aol.com <SnellHolem@aol.com> To: SC-OLD-PENDLETON-DIST-L@rootsweb.com <SC-OLD-PENDLETON-DIST-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Monday, May 01, 2000 8:39 PM Subject: Re: [SC-OPD] Sherrard/Dickey/Wiley >Carol, > >Samuel Stewart, James Stewart, Nancy Stewart (w/of John Sherrard. and Ann >Stewart (w/of Francis Cunningham signed a deed in Pendleton District in Dec. >1841 deeding over property., > >Samuel and Jsmes G.
